The Operations Services Specialist provides hands-on execution support for Better Buzz’s Operations Services and Supply Chain Programs - running audits, maintaining reporting and trackers, supporting store teams (including New Store Openings) on operational tools and systems, and keeping Standard Operating Procedures and training content current. This role keeps the operational and administrative engine running cleanly day to day, so store teams have working tools, accurate data, and up-to-date guidance to do their jobs well.

The pay for this position is $85,000.00/year

This position is office based with occasional travel to store locations as needed. This position has a home base in the UTC area of San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Store, Field & New Store Opening (NSO) Support
  • Manage front-line operational administrative tasks that keep day-to-day store and field operations running smoothly.
  • Support store teams on operational tools and systems (e.g., POS, workforce management, ordering / inventory platforms), troubleshooting issues and escalating as needed.
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for field-reported operational issues, routing to the right partner when outside scope.
  • Provide administrative support for new store openings (NSO) - coordinating opening checklists, systems access / setup, and store-level data configuration so new locations are operational on day one.
  • Support NSO analytics needs - assisting with data pulls, tracker updates, and reporting inputs for pre-open readiness and first-90-day performance tracking.
  • Audits, Reporting & Data Integrity
  • Execute recurring and ad hoc audits across operations-services and supply chain / procurement programs.
  • Perform data pulls and build reporting to support ops-services and procurement initiatives.
  • Maintain trackers and program reporting with a high standard of accuracy and completeness.
  • Documentation & SOP Maintenance
  • Support maintenance and version control of Standards and company documents covering technology, supply chain, and operational standards.
  • Flag outdated, inconsistent, or missing documentation for review and update.
  • Maintain organized, accessible document repositories for field and Support Center reference.
  • Training & Rollout Support
  • Partner with the Training team to translate Standards into practical, field-ready training content.
  • Support the rollout of new operational programs and tools with logistics, materials, and follow-up.
  • Cross-Functional & Ad Hoc Support
  • Respond to adn support ad hoc requests from Operations Services, Supply Chain, and other partner teams.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • 2+ years in operations support, retail / restaurant administration, or analytics.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Operational experience gained through prior food & beverage or café support roles (e.g., store operations, back-of-house, or service support).
  • Strong attention to detail and data skills.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and reporting tools (Excel / Google Sheets).
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional store travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a retail or restaurant operations and administrative role.
  • Familiarity with workforce management, Point of Sale, or supply chain / procurement systems.
  • Experience with operational audit or checklist platforms (e.g., Zenput, Jolt, Crunchtime, or similar).
  • Experience supporting new store or location openings (NSO).
  • Exposure to standards documentation or training-content development.
