THE ROLE
Pastry Cooks play an important role in bringing Tatte's handcrafted pastries, cakes, pies, breads, and desserts to life. Working in our production bakery, Pastry Cooks prepare ingredients, mix doughs and batters, bake products, and finish pastries while maintaining Tatte's commitment to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship.

THE ROLE
Pastry Cooks play an important role in bringing Tatte's handcrafted pastries, cakes, pies, breads, and desserts to life. Working in our production bakery, Pastry Cooks prepare ingredients, mix doughs and batters, bake products, and finish pastries while maintaining Tatte's commitment to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix doughs, batters, pastries, cookies, pies, and desserts according to Tatte recipes and production schedules
- Scale and measure ingredients accurately
- Utilize a variety of pastry mixing techniques, including creaming, folding, kneading, whisking, rubbing, reverse creaming, and all-in-one methods
- Prepare custards, creams, fillings, and other pastry components
- Maintain proper ingredient and product temperatures throughout production
- Bake, finish, decorate, and package products to Tatte quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the production area
- Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently
- Communicate professionally with bakery leadership and team members
- Support additional bakery production tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours per production shift
- Ability to kneel, grasp, push, pull, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Consistent and reliable attendance
- Availability to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume pastry production kitchen, banquet kitchen, bakery, or similar environment
- Knowledge of ingredient scaling and measuring
- Experience with pastry mixing techniques and baking fundamentals
- Experience preparing custards, creams, pastries, and desserts
- Understanding of baking science and product temperature control
- Passion for baking with a strong attention to quality and cleanliness
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing environment
- Experience in a high-volume production facility
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Competitive Pay: $18.50–$22.50/hour+, depending on experience
