Position Overview

Play Café Associates help with the day-to-day operation of Discovery Town, including welcoming families, supervising play areas, assisting in the café, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and helping with birthday parties and special events.

Responsibilities

• Greet families and provide friendly, professional customer service
• Check guests in and assist with questions about open play, memberships, parties, and events
• Monitor play areas and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment
• Clean, sanitize, and organize play spaces throughout the day
• Prepare and serve café drinks, snacks, and simple food items
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer purchases
• Assist with birthday party setup, guest needs, cleanup, and room turnover
• Restock café, play, and party supplies as needed
• Help keep tables, restrooms, playhouses, and common areas clean
• Engage positively and professionally with children and their caregivers
• Follow Discovery Town's safety, cleanliness, and customer-service standards
• Assist with other daily tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, and dependable
• Comfortable interacting with children and families
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Able to work well in a busy, team-oriented environment
• Willing to clean and maintain play and café areas throughout the shift
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks
• Previous experience in childcare, food service, retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus but not required
