Route Delivery Representative - (Delivery Driver)
True Stone Coffee Roasters — Minneapolis/St. Paul
About the Company
True Stone Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster with 22 years of experience serving wholesale customers throughout the Twin Cities region — cafes, restaurants, hotels, and food service operations that depend on their coffee program to succeed.
We are not a delivery company that happens to sell coffee. We are coffee professionals who believe our customers' success is our success. That means we do more than drop off bags: we taste the coffee, check the equipment, train the staff, and stay involved in how the program is running. Our customers stay with us because we show up, pay attention, and solve problems before they become complaints.
We're a small team, which means everyone's work is visible and everyone's judgment matters. If you like being trusted to run your own territory and you care about doing things right, you'll fit here.
Position Overview
The Route Delivery Representative is True Stone's face inside our customer accounts. You'll run a regular delivery route, making sure every customer gets the right products in the right amounts on their scheduled day — and just as importantly, you'll be our eyes and ears in the field.
You have two jobs every day: deliver the coffee, and report back to the office. What you see inside an account — how the coffee is tasting, whether the equipment is being maintained, what a customer mentioned in passing — is information that helps the whole company serve that customer better. You'll report through our Zoho sales channel throughout the day, not just at the end of it.
This is a physical, independent, relationship-driven role. You'll be lifting and loading, driving between stops, and having real conversations with owners, managers, and baristas.
Responsibilities
Delivery & Route Execution
- Deliver company products from the warehouse to customers, loading and unloading as needed
- Supply customers with the products they need, in the amounts they order, on their regularly scheduled delivery day
- Perform physical work throughout the day while maintaining a positive attitude with customers and teammates
- Use Zoho to track shipments and keep order records accurate
Customer Relationships
- Build strong relationships with the customers on your route in a fast-paced, constantly moving environment
- Monitor customer feedback and handle issues courteously and promptly to maintain loyal partnerships
- Maintain effective communication at every level of the customer transaction, and be available when issues arise
- Ask at every stop: How's the coffee tasting? Any issues with the equipment? Is there anything we can help with?
Field Reporting
- Post updates to the Zoho sales channel throughout the day so the office knows what's happening inside accounts in real time
- Report what you saw at the account, how the coffee looked and tasted, any equipment issues, anything a customer mentioned, and anything that seemed off
- Open up coffee servers and airpots and look inside — if they're dirty, that's our coffee in there
- Note whether brewing equipment is being maintained and flag anything visibly wrong
- Watch product levels and identify accounts running low or that could use a different product
Coffee Quality
- Help elevate coffee at your accounts using the monthly coffee checklist
- Identify opportunities to expand accounts through additional products, equipment, or services
Company Standards
- Learn and work within company policies and procedures, whether in the office, at the roastery, or delivering to a customer
