What we're looking for
Riverline Coffee is a new concept seeking an experienced barista to own the daily success of our shop. You’ll oversee daily operations, including managing vendors, procurement, and inventory levels to minimize waste while optimizing profitability. Shop Manager, you will bridge the gap between the owners’ brand vision and the daily guest experience. This role offers significant leadership autonomy for an experienced coffee professional who possesses operational business savvy.

The Shop Manager’s principal responsibilities are managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and optimizing the overall performance and profitability of the coffee shop. If you have a "business-owner mindset", a passion for coffee, a strong management background, and take your work seriously but don’t take yourself too seriously, we would love to have you join us!

Responsibilities
Operations
  • Oversee daily operations, including managing vendors, procurement, and inventory levels to minimize waste while optimizing profitability.
  • Implement and monitor operational SOPs.
  • Ensure shop cleanliness and perform basic troubleshooting/maintenance on coffee equipment.
  • Collaborate on social media content and be comfortable being featured on camera.
  • Listen to customer preferences and make suggestions for menu items

Staffing
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train a diverse team of baristas.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and performance feedback while fostering a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Ensure staff members adhere to health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Customer Service
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, resolving customer concerns, and actively engaging with customers.
  • Oversee the preparation of high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of specialty coffee experience and 1+ year of management experience.
  • Hands-on barista experience, knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes, and industry trends.
  • Must have a food manager certificate (or obtain) and be aware of food health and safety rules.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including strong time management skills, ability to multi-task prioritize, and organize.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused coffee shop while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including AM/PM, weekends and some holidays.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Compensation & Benefits
