Café Operations Manager (GM Track)
Pay: $18–$20/hour + Monthly Bonus ($300–$450)
Total Compensation: ~$19–$25/hour equivalent
We’re hiring a hands-on Café Operations Manager to take ownership of daily operations at Serenity Sips.
This is not a passive management role — we’re looking for someone who can run the floor, lead a team, and ensure the business operates smoothly without constant owner involvement.
This is a working leadership role, meaning you’ll lead from the floor while also managing systems, staffing, and execution.
What You’ll Do:
• Run daily café operations (front + back of house)
• Manage scheduling and ensure full shift coverage
• Step into bar/kitchen roles to maintain flow
• Oversee inventory and reduce waste
• Improve service speed and efficiency
• Track product performance and recommend improvements
• Lead and execute events
Schedule & Flexibility:
• Core hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Typical schedule: 38–45 hours/week
• Includes opening and closing responsibilities
Must be available for:
• Friday evening events
• Occasional rentals and Sunday events
Overtime is paid and managed based on business needs.
This is a leadership role that requires flexibility and ownership of the business schedule.
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong leadership and accountability
• Highly organized and proactive
• Comfortable making decisions independently
• Willing to work both on the floor and behind the scenes
• Someone who takes pride in a well-run, welcoming space
Minimum Requirements:
• 1–2+ years experience in café, restaurant, or hospitality operations
• Current TABC Seller Training certification
• Texas Food Manager certification
Compensation:
This role includes hourly pay, overtime, and performance-based bonuses.
Typical earnings:
• ~$19–$25/hour equivalent
• ~$3,200–$4,300+/month depending on hours and performance
Earnings increase based on:
• Operational ownership
• Efficient scheduling and labor control
• Waste reduction and inventory management
• Event execution and team performance
Growth Opportunity:
This role is designed to grow into a General Manager position for the right person.
This Role Is NOT For:
• Someone who needs constant direction
• Someone who avoids managing people
• Someone looking for a fixed, inflexible schedule
• Someone unwilling to step into service roles
Apply If:
You’re ready to take ownership, lead a team, and help build a business that runs efficiently and consistently.
Application Instructions:
To be considered, include a brief note with:
• Your experience managing or leading shifts or operations
• Confirmation of schedule availability (including evenings/weekends)
• Confirmation of TABC + Food Manager certification
Applications without this information will not be considered.
