Key Responsibilities Department Operations
- Oversee all Starbucks operations including beverage preparation, food service, and inventory management
- Ensure full compliance with Starbucks brand standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines
- Manage ordering, inventory levels, and waste control
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked work and service areas
- Create a warm, welcoming, and engaging café environment
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality beverages and food items
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Encourage partner (employee) engagement to enhance the overall experience
- Hire, train, and develop Starbucks partners
- Provide coaching on beverage standards, customer service, and speed of service
- Create effective schedules based on business trends and staffing needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-focused culture
- Drive sales through product quality, speed, and suggestive selling
- Manage labor, inventory, and waste to meet financial targets
- Monitor key performance metrics including sales, margin, and productivity
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Follow all Starbucks and company operational policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment for partners and customers
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous coffee shop, food service, or retail management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Starbucks operations and beverage preparation is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a café environment with exposure to heat, noise, and equipment use
