Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop Starbucks associates.
- Schedule department personnel to meet customer service and business needs.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and corrective action when appropriate.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer service excellence.
- Support associate engagement, retention, and succession planning efforts.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects Starbucks and company service standards.
- Ensure customers receive friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service.
- Resolve customer concerns and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Promote customer loyalty through positive interactions and product knowledge.
- Create a welcoming department atmosphere for customers and associates.
- Oversee all daily Starbucks department operations.
- Ensure beverages and food items are prepared according to Starbucks recipes and standards.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, ordering, receiving, and product rotation.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
- Ensure accurate pricing and promotional execution.
- Maintain department cleanliness and organization throughout operating hours.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements.
- Monitor proper food handling, storage, temperature controls, and rotation practices.
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain department standards.
- Ensure all associates follow established food safety procedures.
- Maintain required food safety and operational documentation.
- Execute company and Starbucks promotional programs.
- Maintain attractive displays and product presentations.
- Monitor department sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Promote seasonal products, featured beverages, and promotional offerings.
- Develop action plans to achieve sales and profitability goals.
- Manage department labor, inventory, expenses, and shrink.
- Monitor key performance indicators and department financial results.
- Ensure effective scheduling and labor utilization practices.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and product availability.
- Develop and implement plans to improve operational and financial performance.
- Maintain a safe environment for customers and associates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Starbucks operating standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support loss prevention and shrink reduction initiatives.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of department equipment.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation, food service operations, and inventory management.
