Position Summary

The Starbucks Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and operation of the store’s licensed Starbucks location. This role oversees partner (barista) performance, product quality, customer experience, merchandising standards, and compliance with Starbucks and company operating guidelines. The Starbucks Manager ensures the kiosk meets sales, labor, and service expectations while maintaining brand standards and a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities Starbucks Operations & Brand Standards

  • Lead daily operations of the Starbucks licensed kiosk
  • Ensure compliance with Starbucks brand standards, recipes, and beverage quality
  • Execute Starbucks promotional calendars, signage, and merchandising standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Ensure kiosk readiness throughout operating hours

Leadership & Partner Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop baristas
  • Schedule partners to meet business needs while controlling labor
  • Provide ongoing feedback, recognition, and corrective action as needed
  • Foster an inclusive, customer‑focused, and accountable team environment
  • Ensure new partners complete required Starbucks training and certifications

Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in line with Starbucks expectations
  • Actively resolve customer concerns and escalations
  • Model service behaviors and beverage excellence
  • Maintain a welcoming and efficient environment for all customers

Inventory, Ordering & Waste Control

  • Manage ordering of Starbucks products, supplies, and ingredients
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and control waste
  • Ensure proper product rotation, freshness, and storage
  • Complete required inventory counts and documentation

Labor & Scheduling

  • Develop and manage schedules to meet sales trends and labor budgets
  • Monitor payroll usage and productivity
  • Ensure timekeeping accuracy and adherence to attendance policies
  • Adjust coverage as needed based on traffic and demand

Compliance, Safety & Asset Protection

  • Ensure compliance with Starbucks food safety, beverage quality, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a safe working environment for partners and customers
  • Secure cash, keys, and product in accordance with policy
  • Report and document incidents, safety concerns, or operational issues

Partnership with Store Leadership

  • Partner with Store Director, Assistant Store Director, and Admin Coordinator on staffing, training, and compliance needs
  • Participate in store leadership meetings as required
  • Support overall store initiatives while maintaining Starbucks brand integrity

Scope of Authority

  • Directly supervises Starbucks baristas
  • Makes day‑to‑day operational decisions within the kiosk
  • Partners with store leadership on performance management and discipline
  • Does not independently finalize terminations without leadership approval
