Job Description
The WMC Starbucks Supervisor reports to the Manager and works closely with other members of the department.
Responsibilities And Duties
Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-workers.
Responsive to customer needs.
Provides world-class service to customers and clients.
Maintains the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients, consumers, shareholders, and the community.
Maintains a contagious and positive work ethic, inspires others, and models the VHS values.
Ensures that each customer feels informed, understood, and special through genuine and positive communication.
Contributes ideas and feedback to the department and is able to be depended upon to meet commitments.
Coordinates and leads employees in Patient Transport, Food Service, Housekeeping, the Customer Service Center, and Linen.
Performs patient/customer and employee rounding; performs service recovery to patients/customers who have received unsatisfactory service.
Runs shifts and daily operations for all hospitality service lines.
Supports the area of Food Service by coordinating and/or performing such tasks as patient order, meal delivery, tray pick up and floor stock; monitors and troubleshoots patient refrigerator temperatures and ensures that stock is rotated within the refrigerator.
Supports the area of Housekeeping by coordinating and/or performing such tasks as daily cleaning, discharges, burnishing, and building tour inspections.
Supports the Customer Service Center by coordinating and/or performing support service activity which includes taking service calls and dispatching the appropriate personnel to handle the issues.
Performs tasks such as way-finding and parking if necessary.
Supports the area of Patient Transport by coordinating and/or performing any patient and non-patient activity.
Gives input on employee evaluations as well as assisting with disciplinary counseling.
Gives input on interviews for new hires.
Adheres to all HIPAA standards and practices when dealing with protected health information.
Adheres to all appearance standards and maintaining a professional dress at all times while working.
Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.
Complies with OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations.
Maintains compliance with standards of operation and conduct.
Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and codes.
Maintains compliance with all requirements of federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
Assists with completing employee evaluations, administer counseling/corrective action in the absence of the manager or in situations when the manager is unavailable, and overall communication and oversight of their team.
Education
High School Diploma/GED OR one year of experience with Valley Health required
Experience
One year of experience in the hospitality industry or related field required
Leadership Experience Preferred
Certification & Licensure
Basic Life Support certification by AHA Healthcare Provider required within 2 weeks of starting position
Qualifications
Ability to effectively act as preceptor for new hires and team members required
Ability to effectively lead employees required
Ability to act as teacher/coach, leader/influencer, facilitator, socialization agent, protector, and role model to ensure team members effectively learn required
Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Required
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills required
Excellent Customer Service Skills Required
Strong teamwork skills required
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office Applications as well as intermediate computer skills required
Ability to work with minimal supervision required
Ability to prioritize and organize workload to maximize time effectively required
Ability to maintain confidentiality required
Ability to hold employees accountable for work and productivity required
Ability to define problems, collect data, history, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions required
