Role Description The Team Member role is a full-time or part -time, on-site position based at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Gaylord, MI. In this role, you will prepare smoothies and food items to order, follow recipes and food safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work area. You will greet guests, take orders, process payments, and ensure each guest receives friendly, accurate, and timely service. Team Members restock supplies, support opening and closing procedures, and collaborate with coworkers to keep operations running smoothly. This role may include working a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional approach to guest interactions.
• Ability to follow recipes, handle food safely, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Basic cash-handling and point-of-sale (POS) system skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Dependable time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with team members, take direction from supervisors, and support overall cafe operations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks as part of daily duties.
• Previous experience in food service or retail is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
• Availability for full-time hours with flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
