Assistant Starbucks Manager

The Assistant Starbucks Manager supports the Store Manager in leading daily store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, developing team members, and achieving sales and operational goals. This position helps create a welcoming store environment while maintaining Starbucks standards for quality, safety, cleanliness, and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and overall store performance.
• Lead, coach, and motivate baristas and shift supervisors to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
• Ensure beverages, food, and customer service consistently meet Starbucks quality standards.
• Help manage staffing, scheduling, breaks, and labor costs according to business needs.
• Monitor inventory, product availability, ordering, and waste.
• Maintain high standards for store cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and service recovery professionally.
• Assist with cash handling, deposits, opening and closing procedures, and loss prevention.
• Help achieve sales, customer satisfaction, productivity, and operational targets.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace culture.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience required.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach and develop employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer-service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
