Role Description The Barista / Barback role is a full-time, on-site position based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to established standards, as well as supporting bar operations through stocking, cleaning, and organizing supplies and equipment. Day-to-day tasks include taking and processing guest orders, handling payments, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and assisting with basic food preparation as needed. The Barista / Barback will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure efficient service, a positive customer experience, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing capabilities, including Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service experience.
• Hands-on Barista skills, with knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso-based drinks, and beverage presentation.
• Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests and collaborating with team members.
• Food Preparation abilities, with attention to hygiene, safety standards, and consistent quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability in punctuality and attendance, with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
• Previous experience in cafés, bars, or hospitality settings is preferred but not required.
