Position Summary

The Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, specialty drinks, and grab-and-go food items. This role ensures the marketplace is clean, well-stocked, and operate efficiently while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality.

Schedule

Monday 6:30AM-12PM

Friday 9:30AM - 2:30PM

Saturday/Sunday - 6:30AM-2:30PM

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, smoothies, and other specialty drinks according to brand standards.
  • Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous, and personalized service.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the marketplace, coffee station, seating area, and storage areas.
  • Stock merchandise, beverages, snacks, and supplies while ensuring proper product rotation (FIFO).
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of items requiring replenishment.
  • Prepare and package grab-and-go food items in accordance with food safety guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and make recommendations to guests.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling, equipment cleaning, and daily checklists.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous barista, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a POS system and handling cash transactions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
