Hell’s Kitchen Pickleball Club is seeking an experienced Barista for our all-day café and beverage operation.

HKPC is a busy sports and social club with pickleball courts, golf simulators, member programming, and a strong private-events business. Our café serves as a central point of hospitality for members, daily guests, event clients, and visitors touring the club. This is not a role where someone simply stands behind an espresso machine. We need a barista who notices people, works with urgency, and takes ownership of the guest experience from order through handoff.

The Role

• Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, juices, smoothies, and other café beverages with speed and consistency

• Welcome and acknowledge guests promptly, answer menu questions, and guide them through the café offerings

• Take ownership of each order from POS entry through preparation and handoff

• Maintain HKPC’s standards for drink quality, presentation, service, and hospitality

• Set up and maintain the espresso, coffee, juice, smoothie, pastry, and grab-and-go stations

• Keep service moving during busy court periods, leagues, tournaments, tours, and private events

• Support event beverage preparation and welcome-drink service when needed

• Maintain accurate POS transactions, checks, and tip handling

• Monitor stock throughout the shift and replenish milk, syrups, juices, paper goods, pastries, and grab-and-go products before service is affected

• Follow labeling, dating, rotation, and waste-control procedures

• Complete opening, midday reset, and closing standards, including equipment cleaning and leaving the café ready for the next shift

• Work closely with the front desk, F&B team, and managers to keep the club experience organized and responsive

What We’re Looking For

• Previous barista experience in a high-volume café, restaurant, hotel, club, or comparable hospitality environment

• Strong working knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, brewed coffee, and café equipment

• Experience preparing fresh juices and smoothies

• Comfortable engaging with members and guests instead of waiting to be approached

• Able to balance speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and personal service

• Strong station awareness and the ability to recognize what needs attention before it becomes a problem

• Reliable, punctual, organized, and receptive to clear operating standards

• Willing to support the broader club operation during events and peak service periods

At HKPC, the barista is part of the club’s hospitality team. Success in this role is measured by beverage quality, pace, accuracy, station readiness, and whether every guest feels acknowledged and taken care of.
