Barista - Part Time

Role Overview: This position involves preparing a variety of hot and cold coffee drinks and breakfast foods, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards. The role requires building strong customer relationships, rotating inventory, and supporting team tasks to create an engaging and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages and food items
• Fill and rotate cases and displays, including some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the store
• Follow Food & Beverage Standards and inventory procedures
• Assist team with various operational tasks to ensure excellent service
• Uphold food safety protocols, including temperature monitoring and record-keeping
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Friendly, outgoing demeanor with a focus on customer service
• Knowledge of food safety practices; food safety training preferred
• Motivated to learn and grow professionally
• Understanding of inventory management, rotation, and food safety requirements
• Ability to operate equipment such as scanners, registers, and coffee machinery
  
  

Physical & Mental Demands

• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs., walking, standing, reaching
• Occasional lifting over 25 lbs., stooping, bending, squatting
• Mental skills include judgment, social interaction, memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
  
  

Work Environment: Exposure to hot liquids, equipment operation, and physical activity, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
