Barista - Part Time

Role Overview

A Barista creates and serves specialty hot and cold beverages following recipes and guest requests. They provide high-quality, efficient service across multiple counters, demonstrating knowledge of coffee and café products. The role involves setting up stations, replenishing displays, handling allergens, operating POS systems, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with health standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso, coffee, and café drinks at multiple counters
• Deliver exceptional guest service and product information
• Set up and maintain station organization and allergen separation
• Manage product dating and FIFO standards
• Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans per guest specifications
• Operate POS system accurately
• Clean and sanitize work areas
• Serve other Italian delicacies like pastry, gelato, and pizza
• Maintain composure during busy periods
• Perform additional duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Enthusiasm for coffee, tea, and beverages
• Outstanding communication and guest service skills
• Ability to perform basic math and follow instructions
• 1+ year experience with manual espresso machines preferred
• High school diploma preferred
  
  

Job Requirements

• Availability for onsite work with flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
• Proficiency with espresso machines, ovens, blenders, and POS systems
• Dexterity for rapid beverage preparation
