Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista / Food Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will prepare and serve espresso beverages and food items while delivering excellent customer service. You will play a key role in creating a positive guest experience through efficient service, product knowledge, and adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages using standardized recipes and techniques
  • Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and service areas
  • Restock condiments, beverages, and supplies throughout service as needed
  • Ensure proper food presentation, portioning, and temperature control in compliance with HACCP standards
  • Communicate menu offerings clearly and assist customers with selections
  • Promote products through suggestive selling and helpful recommendations
  • Monitor service flow and help minimize delays for customers

Additional Responsibilities

  • Accurately process orders using a point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash/credit transactions
  • Prepare food items according to approved recipes and production standards
  • Maintain visually appealing food displays
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of food and beverage experience
  • Minimum 1 year of barista experience preferred

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in routine tasks

Work Schedule

  • Variable work schedule required, with shifts including:
    • 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
    • 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • 12:00 PM – 8:45 PM
  • Schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday
