Role Description This is a WEEKENDS ONLY OR FLOATER, on-site Barista role located in Milwaukee, WI. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages, as well as handling basic food preparation for pastries and light menu items. Day-to-day tasks include taking customer orders, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and restocking supplies. The Barista will also engage with guests, answer questions about menu items, and ensure that each customer receives courteous and efficient service. This role may involve opening or closing duties, cash handling, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills, to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all guests.
• Barista skills, including experience with espresso machines, drink preparation, and basic café operations.
• Effective Communication skills to interact clearly with customers and team members, and to follow instructions and café procedures.
• Food Preparation skills with attention to hygiene and safety standards for handling and serving food items.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills, with reliability and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
