Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Barista Supervisor for the Crowne Plaza KC Downtown in Kansas City, MO.

Pay is $18.00 to $19.00 plus tips 

Job Purpose:

In this dynamic role, you'll craft delicious beverages, oversee daily operations, and lead a friendly team dedicated to quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and enthusiasm, ensuring consistency and quality.


• Manage daily café operations, including opening, closing, staffing and maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety regulations.


• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, and manage sales efficiently.


• Oversee inventory levels, restock supplies, and coordinate food handling and preparation to ensure smooth service flow.


• Train new staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling techniques, POS operation, and customer service excellence.


• Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly with professionalism and positive attitude to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a barista and one year previous café or food service experience required


• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are essential.


• Demonstrated ability in time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods efficiently.


• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.


• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures.


• Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising or leading a team in a food industry setting preferred.


• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and working in a fast-paced environment
