Role Description The Barista role at The Well & Co. is an on-site position based in Birmingham, AL. The Barista prepares and serves specialty coffee and other beverages, follows established recipes, and ensures all drink and food items meet quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, organized coffee bar and seating area. The Barista supports a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu, and collaborating with team members to provide consistent, friendly service. Additional tasks may include restocking supplies, monitoring equipment, and assisting with basic boutique needs as requested.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming experience.
• Hands-on Barista experience or demonstrated ability to learn coffee preparation techniques, including espresso-based drinks.
• Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Basic Food Preparation skills and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and following operational procedures and cash-handling policies.
• Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or retail environment is beneficial but not required.
