Barista
The Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages and light food items. This role contributes to the overall guest experience by creating a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining product consistency, and upholding brand and hotel service standards.
What You'll Do
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages to brand standards
Provide friendly, engaging, and efficient service to all guests and hotel associates
Take orders accurately and process transactions using POS systems
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including equipment and seating areas
Restock products, supplies, and merchandise as needed
Ensure food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards are consistently followed
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally
Support opening and closing duties, including cash handling and inventory checks
Promote hotel outlets, amenities, and loyalty programs when appropriate
Work collaboratively with kitchen and hotel teams to ensure seamless service
What You Bring
Strong culinary techniques (butchery, sauces, cooking methods, plating)
Leadership and team supervision in a high-volume kitchen
Ability to delegate, train, and coach staff effectively
Strong organization and time management
Menu execution and consistency across multiple events or outlets
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, ServSafe)
Inventory management and cost control awareness
Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining quality
Strong communication skills with kitchen and front-of-house teams
Problem-solving and decision-making in real time
Experience & Qualifications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic math and cash handling skills
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressures
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs (e.g., milk crates, supplies)
Repetitive hand and arm movements (grinding, pouring, steaming)
