Role Description The Barista role at Wah Coffee is a full-time, on-site position based in Sugar land, TX. In this role, the Barista prepares a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, operating the POS system, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. The Barista also assists with basic food preparation, restocking supplies, and following health and safety guidelines. This position involves working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient service, friendly interactions, and a consistently positive guest experience. Baristas will be cross trained for both front of house as well as back of house.

• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create welcoming, respectful, and positive interactions with guests and team members.
• Candidates should possess Barista and Food Preparation skills to prepare beverages and light food items following recipes, quality, and safety standards.
• Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to take orders accurately, coordinate with the team, and follow procedures and instructions.
• Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, or food service environment is beneficial.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety practices.
• Food handlers certificate
