Job Summary:

We're seeking a passionate and customer focused individual to join our specialty coffee and baking team. Your primary responsibility will be preparing professionally curated coffee beverages while providing a kind and high level of customer service to our awesome customers. The right person for the job will have experience working with coffee or retail/service, have baking experience(and/or be eager and excited to learn), enjoy serving our amazing customers, adapt well to an evolving work place, take pride in their work, communicate effectively, and genuinely enjoy caring and helping others.

This position offers a great opportunity to learn considerably more about coffee, baking, and the entire coffee industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Immediately and warmly welcomes customers and team members, ensuring a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment.
• Works swiftly without compromising beverage quality or customer service.
• Prepares and serves coffee and coffee-less beverages and food items using retail equipment, such as espresso machines and convection ovens.
• If baking, ability to follow recipes and produce consistent products.
• Maintains clean and organized work and customer areas, following health and safety guidelines.
• Has a competent understanding of coffee offerings and guides customers during the purchase process. Promotes new coffee offerings and seasonal specials to enhance brand awareness and sales.
• Handles accurate cash and credit transactions.
• Supports training initiatives and mentors new team members during their onboarding process.
• Manages daily, weekly, and monthly tasks assigned by the leadership team.
• Handles customer service inquiries and resolves issues professionally and promptly.
• Assists in inventory management and restocks supplies as needed, including product displays.
• Proficient at working both independently and in team settings during shifts with self-directed initiative and minimal supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constant standing and walking for up to 8 hours to perform job duties.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 65 lbs.
• Occasional use of ladders and ramps to access elevated areas.
• Frequent wrist and spine movement during beverage preparation and tasks.
• Constantly receives and exchanges detailed information through oral communication.
• Maintains clear vision for reading orders and interacting with customers.
• Demonstrates precise mental math skills for both following recipes and conducting accurate cash transactions.
