Cafe Counter Server / Barista (Part-Time)

Job description:

Miss Molly’s Cafe & Pastry Shop is a busy, from-scratch neighborhood cafe focused on great food, great coffee, and genuine hospitality. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable part-time Front of House team member who understands the ebb and flow of cafe service—able to move quickly when it’s busy and stay productive during slower periods.

This role is a great fit for someone with some experience in food service or retail who enjoys working with people, multitasking, and being part of a team.

Schedule & Availability

Part-time: 2–3 shifts per week
Mostly weekdays, but must be available at least one weekend day
Shifts are typically 7:00am–3:00pm or 9:00am–3:00pm
What we’re looking for:

Some experience in food service or retail preferred
Barista experience is a plus, but not required
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Able to manage both busy rushes and slower periods productively
Personable, dependable, and professional
Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
Team-oriented and willing to jump in where needed
Duties include (but are not limited to):

Taking orders at the counter and over the phone with accuracy and efficiency
Multitasking between pouring beverages, fulfilling bakery orders, and assisting guests
Providing warm, friendly, and efficient customer service
Using slower periods to complete side work such as making house beverages, stocking, running food, rolling silverware, etc.
General cleaning tasks including dishes, sanitizing surfaces, bussing tables, and keeping the cafe tidy
Compensation

Base wage + tips
Front of house team members typically earn between $15–$18 per hour combined (base wage + tips), depending on day of the week and seasonality
Starting base wage is based on experience
