Job Description

The Coffee Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of all coffee equipment used to brew our coffee at Windmill's wholesale accounts. This includes installation, preventative maintenance, emergency troubleshooting, and general repair. The Tech Manager is also responsible for devising, refining, and maintaining company systems for dispatching, invoicing, inventory, equipment tracking, and scheduling, as well as reporting on this data to their colleagues. They will work as part of the wholesale team to respond to both planned and emergency tech needs as part of Windmill's commitment to excellent customer service. The Coffee Service Manager Will:

  • Work efficiently and with a high level of attention to detail on tech-related projects
  • Ensure the consistent and optimal function of all Windmill coffee and wholesale partner equipment
  • Dispatch technicians efficiently and effectively. 
  • Resolve equipment-related emergencies with urgency
  • Oversee preventative maintenance on a consistent, transparent schedule
  • Track and organize all account-related information with clarity and accuracy
  • Communicate updates regarding equipment clearly with colleagues and customers
  • Deliver warm and helpful service to wholesale customers
  • Set the coffee tech program on a course to grow with solid systems and SOPs

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Technical support:

  • Perform installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for all of our wholesale accounts. 
  • Work with spare parts vendors and our accounting team to ensure correct invoicing
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workshop at all times

Departmental Management:

  • Execute preventive maintenance calendars for all equipment under Windmill's care
  • Manage spare parts and tool inventories
  • Effectively track all coffee equipment and share related record keeping
  • Dispatch and invoice in a timely manner
  • Train any potential future technicians in Windmill's SOPs and manage


RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–5 years of specialty coffee experience
  • 1+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field
  • Advanced coffee equipment understanding, including programming and basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships that benefit the brand
  • High level of initiative and follow-through
  • Experience with G-Suite, quickbooks (or other erp’s), and maintenance tracking. 
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable walking to job sites regularly and carrying/transporting tools en route
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
  • Driver's license
  • Ability to work occasional weekend or evening hours to accommodate emergency calls

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary is competitive and is based on experience
  • 80 hours paid time off per year + paid company holidays
