Role Description The Coffee Shop Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our café in Arlington, VA. This role oversees daily shop operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, staffing, and inventory management. The manager leads and supports the barista team, ensures excellent customer service, and maintains product quality and consistency in all beverages and food offerings. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and coaching team members, monitoring sales and costs, and implementing operational processes to improve efficiency and customer experience. The manager also handles vendor relationships, coordinates maintenance needs, supports local marketing initiatives, and ensures the café remains clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills in Customer Service and Customer Experience, with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Experience in Operations Management and Store Management, including staffing, scheduling, inventory control, and cash management.
- Previous leadership experience in a café, restaurant, or retail environment.
- Knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso preparation, and café equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Arlington, VA, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort using point-of-sale and basic business software tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in hospitality, business, or management is a plus.
