The Role

Our front of house team members welcome and care for guests in our cafés. Counter Team Members have a working knowledge of all Tatte products, deliver delicious savory dishes and pastries, operate the point-of-sale register, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Baristas showcase their artistic coffee skills by handcrafting delicious and creative coffee beverages.

Qualifications & Experience

We expect our front of house team members to:

• Have engaging, warm, and welcoming communication skills and presence
• Have a passion for and deep knowledge of our coffee menu, bakery and savory offerings, and genuine hospitality
• Have a desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
• Live Tatte's core values and help Tatte deliver on its mission
• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and afternoons/evenings
• Ideally, Barista team members have at least 1 year of experience using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced restaurant or café
  
  

Key Responsibilities

Counter Team Member

• Provide gracious and high-quality service by welcoming guests and engaging with them throughout their experience
• Determine guests' needs by asking questions and sharing product knowledge
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products
• Take guests' orders using the point-of-sale system
• Execute all Tatte product and packaging standards
• Deliver coffee beverages and food to guests
• Maintain clean and well-stocked café stations
• Support café cleanliness and visual brand standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Barista

• Provide gracious and high-quality service by welcoming guests and engaging with them throughout their experience
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products
• Prepare and serve beverages according to Tatte recipes and specifications
• Answer guests' questions about our offerings
• Follow all beverage recipes and presentation standards
• Operate all barista station equipment according to standards
• Keep the bar, equipment, and work area clean, sanitary, and well-stocked
• Handcraft beautiful and artistic espresso beverages
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Essential Functions / Working Conditions

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to grasp and reach overhead
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on your feet

• Counter Team Members: $12.80–$14.30/hour plus tips
• Baristas: $15.00–$16.75/hour plus tips
• Typical earnings for FOH (including tips): $20–$24/hour+
