POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Custodian – Coffee Co. Campus (Part-Time)
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - McMinnville is accepting applications for the part-time position of Custodian for the Coffee Co. Campus.
Position Information
Position Type: Part-Time
Hours: 25 hours per week
Compensation: $15 per hour
Summary
The Custodian works under the supervision of the Coffee Co. Campus Director performing daily custodial duties. He/she shall be a high school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency (HSE) Test with three (3) years of related experience.

Summary

Minimum Requirements
- High school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency (HSE) Test
- Three (3) years of custodial work experience
- Familiar with cleaning chemicals and MSDS labeling
- Must possess or are able to obtain a valid Tennessee driver’s license
- Five (5) years of custodial work experience in an education setting preferred
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge of methods used to perform high quality routine cleaning of public areas
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment used in cleaning of various types of areas including; flooring materials, restrooms, water fountains, walls, glass, etc.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Knowledge of MSDS labeling and policy
- Under the general supervision of the Coffee Co. Campus Director:
- Perform daily cleaning of common areas per the institution’s cleaning and maintenance policy.
- Perform safety and security checks of facilities.
- Perform opening and closing of facilities as needed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to student success.
- Clean bottle filling stations
- Clean Windows
- Clean floors
- Clean restrooms
- Clean administrative offices
- Clean lobby and breakrooms
- Clean outside walks and door mats
- Empty waste cans
- Check for litter on campus and in parking area
- Clean and replenish hand towels, toilet tissue, and hand soap in restrooms
- Check motorized equipment before using and contact Facilities /Maintenance Supervisor for needed maintenance and repair
- Other duties as assigned
