Overview: We are adding an additional District Manager position to support both our current operations and continued future growth. The ideal candidate is a driven, hands-on, solution-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can balance day-to-day operational demands while maintaining a strong focus on team development, financial performance, and long-term growth.
This person is passionate about building high-performing teams, coaching strong General Managers, and creating a culture of accountability, hospitality, and operational excellence across multiple locations. They are highly organized, adaptable, financially and operationally minded, and able to proactively identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve systems in a growing restaurant environment.
The District Manager will be responsible for overseeing operations and performance across their district, ensuring each café consistently delivers exceptional product quality, customer experience, and team engagement while helping position the company for continued expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations across all cafes in the district, ensuring consistency and efficiency in processes and service. Conduct regular site visits to each location, evaluating operations, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policies. Implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and maximize productivity.
- Financial Management: Oversee district financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis. Prepare monthly Scorecards and analyze sales reports, KPIs, and other financial data to identify trends, address issues, and drive revenue growth. Work with store managers to develop and execute business plans and their individual store budgets that meet or exceed financial targets.
- Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor store managers, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance. Provide clear direction, support, and performance feedback to managers, helping them develop strong, cohesive teams. Participate in and conduct Monthly Manager meetings, regular team meetings with each individual on your team, sharing best practices, updates, and company initiatives.
- Customer Experience and Brand Standards: Ensure each location consistently provides exceptional customer service and quality products. Monitor and maintain brand standards in all locations, including cleanliness, ambiance, and overall customer experience. Respond to customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all locations comply with health, safety, and food handling regulations. Implement and enforce quality control measures across locations, ensuring all products meet company standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations and company policies, ensuring each location remains compliant.
- Growth and Expansion Support: Assist with the opening and setup of new locations within the district. Participate in strategic planning for district growth and expansion initiatives. Provide insight and feedback to the executive team on opportunities for improvement and growth.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or any other field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-unit management, preferably in the food and beverage or retail industry.
- Fosters Team Development: Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving results and fostering team development.
- Strong Financial Acumen: Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, analyzing KPIs, and executing business strategies.
- Organized Self-Starting Communicator: Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Team Player: Strong leadership and must have the ability to work well independently, as well as a part of a team. Willingness to collaborate and assist others when needed.
- Flexible Traveler: Willingness to travel frequently within the district and occasionally outside it, if required.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
