Field Service Technician

About the role

Break Coffee Co. franchisees keep offices caffeinated with commercial super-automatic espresso machines. You’ll clean, maintain, and (hopefully one day) install machines in offices, hotels, and other communal spaces across Long Island and Manhattan.  Your weekly workload will be managing 25-30 machines, which we anticipate will take 40 hours/per week..

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (weekly clean, monthly deep clean).
• Diagnose & troubleshoot problems with equipment.
• Swap machines as needed and train office managers during new installations..
• Maintain consumable inventory at customers' workplace and order coffee through Break portal.
• Log every service trip in Break billing and service app.
• Introduce new products and promotions to primary contacts as appropriate.

Must-haves

• 1+ year of experience working with customers. We can teach anyone how to service our machines, but making the office or facilities manager feel like a partner is invaluable.
• A Car, Valid driver’s license, & clean driving record.
• Comfortable lifting 50 lbs and working on your feet all day.
• Tech-savvy—basic Zoom, email, and mobile apps.
• Customer-first attitude; neat appearance and clear communicator.
• Able to pass background check,

Nice-to-haves, but NOT REQUIRED

• Basic plumbing (¼” or 3/8" water line installs).
• Network of facilities or office managers.
• Spanish proficiency.

Schedule & pay

• 9 am - 5pm, Monday-Friday.
• $16-$21 /hr+ travel reimbursements, tools, and coffee allowance.
