Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Salesperson will focus on building and maintaining relationships with wholesale and retail customers, including grocers, cafés, and hospitality partners, as well as supporting direct-to-consumer sales. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting in-person and phone sales presentations, managing account follow-ups, and coordinating orders to ensure timely delivery. The role involves tracking sales performance, maintaining accurate records in CRM tools, and collaborating with operations and marketing teams to support promotions and product launches. The Salesperson will also represent JPCC at local events, tastings, and trade shows to grow brand awareness and drive revenue.
Qualifications

  • Strong sales and account management skills, including lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals.
  • Experience with customer service and communication, with the ability to present products clearly and respond to customer needs.
  • Comfort with basic digital tools such as CRM systems, point-of-sale platforms, and email or online communication tools.
  • Knowledge or interest in specialty coffee, including basic understanding of coffee products, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
  • Ability to work on-site across the San Francisco Bay Area, including occasional travel to customer locations and events.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through on commitments.
  • Prior experience in food and beverage, retail, or wholesale sales is preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, or hospitality is a plus.
