The Hotel Barista is responsible for crafting and serving a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to hotel guests and customers. This role involves operating coffee-making equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and providing friendly, professional service to enhance the guest experience. The barista may also handle food items, process payments, and assist with inventory management.

Key Responsibilities For The Part-Time Hotel Barista Include

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
  • Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations on menu items.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Restock supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, and pastries, and assist with inventory tracking.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Upsell additional items, such as pastries or specialty drinks, to enhance guest experience and meet sales goals.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Adhere to hotel policies, brand standards, and food safety regulations.

What We Are Looking for in a Part-Time Hotel Barista:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Exceptional ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent skills for engaging with guests and collaborating with team members seamlessly.
