Part-Time Barista

Role Overview: This position involves preparing coffee shop beverages and food items, operating the cash register, and providing courteous customer service. It requires maintaining safety, sanitation, and organization standards in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages by brewing, mixing, or blending to set standards.
• Cook food items following established procedures.
• Operate cash registers to process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Stock and rotate merchandise and coffee items, ensuring displays are well-maintained.
• Maintain knowledge of store programs, product locations, and equipment operation.
• Notify management when supplies need replenishing and adhere to security and safety policies.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety in the work area, following sanitation and PPE guidelines.
• Engage customers by explaining store programs, specials, and coupons, while providing high-quality service.
• Assist with tasks in other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail or related fields is advantageous.
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities.
  
  

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.
