Job Summary

Below is a brief summary for assisting the production of Jet Coffee Roasters (JCR) and facilities maintenance of Jet Coffee locations: 

This position is responsible for assisting the production of Jet Coffee Roasters and facilities maintenance of Jet Coffee locations. This position requires efficient process execution, flexibility in scheduling, assisting in order fulfilment, staging and delivering coffee on time, serving guests at the Hangar, practicing safe work habits, and holding yourself to a high standard of excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Production

• Facility cleanliness/organization.
• Adhere to all Organic Certification processes.
• Pre and post roast blending, sorting, and staging all coffee.
• Bag all coffee by end of day.
• Stage all coffee for order fulfillment.
• Assist with Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual, and Annual Maintenance on roasters.
• Perform all JCR checklists (opening, ending, roasting, maintenance, etc.)
• Assist in completing all chore chart checklists.
• Fulfill and deliver online orders to ship.

Service

• Perform opening and closing procedures for the Hangar.
• Provide customers with the best experience, providing fast, friendly, efficient, and superior customer service.
• Be pro-active in all customer service complaints and incidents, satisfying all customer concerns.
• Help any guests that may have questions about our offerings, the brewing process, flavor notes, or any custom roast requests they may inquire about.

Maintenance

• Perform preventative maintenance on Jet Coffee locations’ coffee equipment, HVAC systems, and water filtration systems.
• Fulfill service requests for maintenance at Jet Coffee locations.
• Be on call for the weekend for emergencies only for maintenance at Jet Coffee locations.
• Assist in special projects for promotional builds or sets for events.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience

2+ years of hands-on maintenance, handyman, or facilities repair experience.

Working knowledge of basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repair.

Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently across multiple sites.

Preferred Experience

1+ years experience working in a cafe, or similar service style.

6+ months experience working in a roastery as bagger, sorter, assistant, or roaster.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 132 pounds.
• Operate a pallet jack.
