Production Roaster

Job Summary:

The Production Roaster role is a full time position at our roastery in Carpinteria, CA. The position will start as an order fulfillment role. Roasting tasks will be added after consistent execution of production tasks. They will work with the Roastery Team to ensure the proper and timely execution of daily production tasks, such as bag labeling, packing, and order fulfillment.

Outline of Duties: 

• Adhere to all Dune’s policies and protocols
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Daily coffee roasting to meet demands of production reports at a 90% success rate within Cropster bumpers
• Accurately fulfill all wholesale/web orders with care in a timely manner
• Participate in weekly production cuppings, give feedback, and evaluate coffee
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the roastery space, maintaining show room status
• Deliver local wholesale orders timely and professionally
• Learn to successfully operate weigh & fill machine, band sealer, scales, and grinders with efficiency.
• Maintain clear knowledge on all Dune Coffee Roasters products, packaging and equipment, ensuring superior quality is represented in every product and service
• Assists in receiving, and puts away of incoming orders as necessary
• Learn to participate in and run Quality Control Cuppings to ensure the consistency of the product and to identify coffee defects
