Role Description The Specialty Coffee Consultant is a full-time, remote role responsible for advising clients on specialty coffee sourcing, brewing methods, menu development, and customer experience. Day-to-day activities include conducting virtual consultations, assessing client needs, and recommending tailored solutions for coffee programs and operational workflows. The consultant will create clear documentation and guidelines for staff training, help clients implement quality control processes, and support coffee-related marketing initiatives. This role also involves staying current with industry trends, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with internal team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
  • Specialty coffee expertise, including knowledge of beans, roasting profiles, brewing methods, and sensory evaluation.
  • Experience in café or hospitality operations, with a strong understanding of workflow, inventory, and customer service standards.
  • Consulting or advisory skills, including needs assessment, solution design, and clear communication of recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead remote training sessions and client meetings.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple client projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort with digital tools for collaboration, documentation, and virtual meetings.
  • Previous experience in specialty coffee, food and beverage, or hospitality consulting is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant education or professional certifications in coffee, hospitality, or business are a plus but not required.
