In this role, you’ll support research studies that uncover insights to shape product design, user journeys, and long-term experience roadmaps. You’ll partner closely with design, product, and engineering to ensure every solution reflects real human needs. Your work will guide experiences that touch millions of people every day from mobile ordering to loyalty engagement and help fuel ways to activate our “Back to Starbucks” strategy.

As a UX researcher, you will…
- Plan and conduct qualitative research studies including user interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, and usability tests under the guidance of senior researchers
- Synthesize research findings into clear, compelling deliverables: reports, journey maps, insight repositories, and presentation decks
- Be constantly supported by a high-functioning cohort of other researchers and strategists
- Partner closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure research is integrated into the design and product development process
- Manage participant recruitment logistics, screener development, consent documentation, and scheduling for research studies
- Stay current on emerging UX research methods, tools, and industry trends, and proactively bring new ideas to the practice
- Contribute to building a culture of curiosity and user-centricity across the organization
- 3+ years of experience in UX, product, or consumer insights environment
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, HCI, Sociology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, Design, or related field—or equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistics.
- Ability to interpret a range of UX research methods and techniques, work with qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to turn complex findings into clear narratives for non-research audiences
- Familiarity with UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, dScout or Qualtrics. Familiarity with Figma toolset is a plus
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
