Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Barista role located in Monmouth County, NJ. The Barista prepares and serves a variety of handcrafted beverages and food items while following Starbucks recipes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Daily responsibilities include welcoming customers, taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role also involves restocking supplies, supporting store operations, and collaborating with team members to ensure a consistent, friendly, and efficient customer experience. Baristas are expected to uphold Starbucks’ values, provide excellent service, and contribute to a positive store environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a friendly, welcoming experience for all guests.
  • Barista and Food Preparation skills, including the ability to learn beverage recipes, operate equipment safely, and follow food safety standards.
  • Effective Communication skills to interact clearly with customers and team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move supplies as needed, and handle a dynamic, high-volume setting.
  • Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or food service is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
