Role Description The Coffee Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC, responsible for overseeing daily coffee-related operations for client locations or internal projects. This position manages inventory and supply chain activities for coffee products, equipment, and related materials to ensure consistent availability and quality. The Coffee Operations Manager coordinates scheduling and workflows for staff involved in coffee service, training team members on standards, safety, and customer experience. The role includes monitoring performance metrics, managing vendor relationships, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability. This individual will also collaborate with consulting teams to support new service launches, operational audits, and client reporting.


Qualifications

  • Experience in operations management, preferably in food and beverage, hospitality, or retail environments.
  • Strong skills in inventory control, supply chain coordination, and vendor management for consumable products and equipment.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams, including scheduling, training, performance feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Competence in budgeting, cost control, and basic financial analysis to support profitable coffee operations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on process improvement.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with staff, clients, and suppliers.
  • Comfort with using POS systems, scheduling tools, and productivity or reporting software.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation standards, quality control practices, and customer service best practices is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Raleigh, NC, including standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks as needed.
