This role combines hands-on barista duties with leadership responsibilities, supporting the café manager in staff coordination, training,inventory management, and upholding company policies. Qualifications

Essential:

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co

workers and management to their understanding.

  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow

through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.

  • Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in

situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will

require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to direct timing and performance of Servers, Bartenders and Food Runners.
  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly while providing

service to 25 guests at any given time.

Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages

  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.

Desirable:

  • 2. High School graduate, with some college
  • Food handling certificate
  • Knowledge of American style service standards.
  • Previous culinary training.
  • Knowledge of specialty coffee trends.
  • CPR certification
  • Alcohol awareness certification (TIPS Training)
  • Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish or French.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of P.O.S. system, preferably Micros.

Essential Physical Abilities:

  • Endure various physical throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending, climbing, and stooping.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk continuously throughout the shift to perform essential job functions.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to be able to grasp, load, and carry trays.
  • Ability to endure repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain good coordination while serving orders quickly.
  • Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.; and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, and boxes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages to company standards.
  • Lead and motivate barista team members during shifts, ensuring efficiency and teamwork.
  • Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching to maintain service and quality standards.
  • Monitor product quality, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Open or close the store, following proper procedures and ensuring readiness for the next day or shift
  • Daily stock and organizing the products and retail items ( making sure that everything is stocked and looks nice and neat, and coordinating with Retail Supervisor on any missing or additional Items we need for the Market).

Secondary Job Functions:

  • Store all daily deliveries in proper storage areas upon receipt of delivery,
  • Assist the F&B Managers with ordering, monthly inventory, staff training, and other departmental duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of menus and wine lists.
  • Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
  • Legibly document all pertinent information in F&B log book.
  • Document any maintenance needs and submit to manager or directly to Engineering.
  • Attend meetings and menu tastings as scheduled.

Wage Range of $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
