What we're looking for
Riverline Coffee is looking for energetic and hospitality-minded individuals to join our team. As a Barista, you are the face of Riverline, responsible for crafting excellent drinks and making every guest feel welcome.

We’re looking for people who are genuinely curious about coffee, love connecting with people, and take pride in keeping a clean, efficient workspace. We are looking for someone who takes their work seriously but doesn't take themselves too seriously. If you have a positive attitude and a "no task is too small" mindset, we would love to have you join us!

Responsibilities
Operations
  • Follow Riverline Coffee recipes and presentation guidelines to prepare and serve a variety of beverages.
  • Assist with "dialing in" espresso and preparing batch recipes.
  • Restocking milk, syrups, pastries, and merchandise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bar area, guest seating, and restrooms.
  • Complete daily opening and closing checklists to ensure the shop is always ready for success.
  • Collaborate on social media content and be comfortable being featured on camera.

Staffing
  • Support your team by communicating well and keeping the workflow moving during busy shifts.

Customer Service
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, resolving customer concerns, and actively engaging with customers.
  • Share your knowledge of our menu to help guests find something they’ll love.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of hospitality or retail experience; coffee experience is a plus.
  • A desire to learn about specialty coffee and manual brewing techniques.
  • Must have a food handler certificate (or obtain) and be aware of food health and safety rules.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused coffee shop while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including AM/PM, weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly, non-exempt: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
