What we're looking for
Riverline Coffee is looking for an experienced coffee professional to take on a leadership role in our shop. As a Senior Barista, you will be the backbone of our daily bar operations, ensuring that every cup and every guest interaction hits the high standards we’ve set for the Riverline experience.

Responsibilities
Operations
  • Lead the daily workflow on the bar, ensuring the team stays organized and productive during busy shifts.
  • Ensure shop cleanliness and perform basic troubleshooting/maintenance on coffee equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate on procurement to ensure necessary stock and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate on social media content and be comfortable being featured on camera.
  • Listen to customer preferences and make suggestions for menu items.

Staffing
  • Assist in training a diverse team of baristas on beverage recipes, techniques, and workflow.
  • Provide real-time performance feedback to the team while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure staff members adhere to health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Customer Service
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, resolving customer concerns, and actively engaging with customers.
  • Oversee the preparation of high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of specialty coffee experience.
  • Hands-on barista experience, knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes, and industry trends.
  • Must have a food manager certificate (or obtain) and be aware of food health and safety rules.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including strong time management skills, ability to multi-task prioritize, and organize.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused coffee shop while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including AM/PM, weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly, non-exempt: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
